New Flights, New Visitors, New Opportunities

The Gulf Shores & Orange Beach International Airport continues to exceed expectations, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

After launching commercial service in 2025, Allegiant has continued to expand its footprint in our market. Beginning this summer, travelers can fly nonstop to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach from five additional cities: Huntsville, AL; Louisville, KY; Omaha, NE; Oklahoma City, OK; and Springfield, MO. With these additions, Allegiant will serve a total of 13 nonstop destinations through Gulf Shores International Airport.

The airport's success has been remarkable. In its first six months of service, more than 40,000 passengers traveled through the airport, significantly exceeding early projections and prompting plans for terminal expansion.

Each new route helps introduce Alabama's Beaches to travelers who may not have previously considered our area while making it easier and more convenient for returning guests to visit. As air service continues to expand, so does our ability to reach new markets, attract additional visitors, generate more bookings, and support the long-term growth of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach as a premier vacation destination.

The continued success of the airport is another reminder that demand for Alabama's Beaches remains strong and that our destination is becoming easier than ever to reach.
