Matterport Integration

We have always been a huge proponent of a virtual tour in online listings. It helps to create an emotional connection between the potential guest and your property by allowing them to mentally picture themselves in your unit, on vacation, making memories with their loved ones. Virtual tours increase page views and conversion on your listings. Consider these statistics:
• Real estate and vacation home listings with a virtual tour get 87% more views
• Among 18-34 year olds, prospects are 130% more likely to book based on a virtual tour.
• Rich media (interactive visuals such as a video or virtual tour) increases conversion rates by 64%
We made the decision to invest in our own Matterport virtual tour program, which included purchasing the specialized camera, ongoing training and hosting fees, and hiring a professional photographer. The process of creating a Matterport virtual tour for all our units has taken time, but we are pleased to report that most of our active units now have a virtual tour available. Those virtual tours are viewable in the property listings on itrip.net, but until recently none of our online listing partners had the capability to host virtual tours. However, HomeAway/Vrbo has just launched a Matterport-to-Vrbo connection tool, through which a virtual tour can be featured on all Expedia-owned platforms as well. We have completed the integration process, and we are extremely excited to have this available.
