Texting Reminder

Going into the 2018 rental season we began using a texting service to communicate with our guests. We use it to send automated trip information and reminders, as well as to communicate with them about things such as dangerous surf or weather conditions, or when resolving maintenance issues. The benefits have been huge, and the response has been extremely positive. However, the way that guests get imported into the texting system is when there is a booking. At this time our system does not make a distinction between an actual guest booking and an owner block or maintenance block. The system sees them all as a booking. As a result, you may receive a series of texts about your “reservation” when you do not actually have a reservation. Please don’t be alarmed! If you want to make sure this is the case, please feel free to check with us. And if these are bothersome to you, you can always text “STOP” to have yourself removed from the list. Overall we feel that the benefits of this program far outweigh any inconvenience it may cause you.
